Waqar Bahot Pasni Enforced Disappearance Balochistan News

Pasni, Balochistan News – May 14, 2025: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has reported another case of enforced disappearance in Balochistan. According to a public statement shared on their official Twitter account, a 25-year-old student named Waqar Bahot, son of Bahot, was allegedly abducted by personnel linked to Military Intelligence (MI) on the evening of May 13, 2025.

Waqar, a resident of Ward No. 1 in Pasni, was reportedly taken at approximately 8:00 PM from Main Bazar, Pasni. The BYC claims the abduction was carried out without any legal warrant or formal charges.

This incident adds to the growing list of enforced disappearances being documented by Baloch human rights organizations, amid increasing crackdowns on student activists and community members.

The BYC has once again called for Waqar Bahot’s immediate release and urged national and international human rights bodies to take urgent notice of what they describe as a “systematic campaign of repression” against the Baloch population.
