Quetta News : The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has raised concern over the alleged enforced disappearance of a young farmer, Qadir Ahmed, who was reportedly taken into custody from Quetta early Tuesday morning.

According to a statement shared by BYC on social media, Qadir Ahmed, 20, was abducted near Barma Hotel on Saryab Road at approximately 6:00 AM. He is a resident of Tehsil Kadkucha and is said to have been working as a farmer. The committee has alleged that personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) were involved in the abduction, although these claims have not been independently verified.

Enforced disappearances have long been a source of tension in Balochistan, where local groups continue to call for accountability and transparency from authorities. BYC has reiterated its demand for the immediate release of all missing persons and urged human rights organizations to intervene.

There has been no official comment from CTD or local law enforcement agencies regarding the incident at the time of publication.
